Terms of Service
Effective date: 4 October 2026 · Last updated: 4 October 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your rights and obligations when using the takvim.in website, its embeddable calendar (widget) and other services (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, creating an account or publishing content you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service. How we process your personal data is explained in the Privacy Policy, which should be read together with these Terms.
1. Parties
The Service is provided by AEGONTECH LLC (8 The Green, Suite B, Dover, DE 19901-3618, USA; “we”). “You” means anyone, individual or legal entity, who uses the Service. Contact: support@takvim.in.
2. The Service
takvim.in is an events guide that brings together concerts, theatre, exhibitions, workshops, talks and similar events, venues and organisations; it lets users discover and follow events and build a personal calendar, and lets publishers publish events. The Service also includes a blog.
Important: takvim.in is not a ticket seller, event organiser or intermediary service provider. We do not organise events, sell tickets or take payments. Ticketing, attendance conditions, refunds and cancellations are the responsibility of the relevant organiser or ticketing platform.
3. Eligibility
- You must be at least 16 to create an account, and at least 18 and legally competent to hold a publisher account. You can view content without an account.
- If you act on behalf of an organisation, company or institution, you represent that you have authority to bind it to these Terms.
- If you were previously removed from the Service, you need our permission before opening a new account.
4. Accounts and security
- You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information when you register.
- You are responsible for the confidentiality of your account and password and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised use.
- You may not transfer, sell or lease your account, or open an account on someone else’s behalf without permission.
- Opening several misleading accounts, creating fake profiles or impersonating another person or organisation is prohibited.
5. Publisher accounts and publishing content
- As a publisher you can add event, venue and organisation information. Publisher applications and content may be reviewed by our moderators; publication decisions are at our discretion.
- You represent that the information you add (date, time, place, price, ticket link, description) is accurate, current and not misleading, and that you are authorised to publish the event. You must update the content when details change or the event is cancelled.
- If you state a price or “free” for an event, it must be truthful. Wrong prices, hidden fees or misleading statements are prohibited.
- If you use images, text, logos or trademarks belonging to others, you promise that you hold the necessary permissions.
- If you use the Service commercially, you are responsible for obligations arising from the relevant legislation (for example Turkish Law No. 6502 on Consumer Protection and Law No. 6563 on the Regulation of Electronic Commerce).
6. User content and licence
You keep the rights in the text, images, information and other material you upload or publish on the Service (“User Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free licence to use your User Content to operate, host and display the Service, to adapt its format (for example resizing images, and showing it in search results, calendar and email digests, embeddable widgets and social share previews) and to promote the Service. This licence ends when you remove the content from the Service — except for cached or backup copies, and publicly published copies that will disappear within a reasonable time. You alone are responsible for your User Content.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Publish content that is unlawful, contrary to public morals or infringes third-party rights, including hate speech, harassment, threats, incitement to violence, discrimination, child exploitation, obscenity or criminal content;
- Add false, misleading, fake or fraudulent events, tickets or links, or impersonate a person or organisation;
- Send spam, unsolicited bulk messages or advertising, or manipulate ranking with irrelevant keywords, tags or categories;
- Unlawfully publish or collect other people’s personal data;
- Impair the security, integrity or performance of the Service, attempt unauthorised access, spread malware, or circumvent security measures or rate limits;
- Crawl the Service with automated tools (bots, crawlers, scrapers), make bulk copies of its content, or use published APIs outside their limits, without our prior written permission;
- Copy or reverse engineer the Service or try to obtain its source code (except to the extent the law allows);
- Use the Service to build a competing product.
We may remove or restrict content that breaches these rules, and warn, suspend or close the related account, without prior notice.
8. Event information and third-party information
Event information on the Service is compiled from organisers, publishers and public sources, and some of it is imported automatically. Dates, times, places, prices, programmes and attendance conditions may change or be wrong. We do not guarantee that information is accurate, complete or current. We recommend confirming details with the organiser before you attend or buy a ticket. Location, directions and transit information on event and venue pages is provided as guidance only.
9. AI-generated content
Some images on the Service (for example category covers and blog post illustrations) are generated with artificial-intelligence tools and may not depict a real event, person or place exactly. They are for visual storytelling, not informational records. Event images uploaded by publishers are the responsibility of the publisher.
10. Intellectual property
The Service’s software, design, interface, the takvim.in name and logo, its compilation and content created by us are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws and belong to us or our licensors. These Terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use; no other rights are granted. We may freely use any suggestions or feedback you give us about the Service without obligation.
11. Infringement notices and content removal
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, trademark, personality rights or other rights, you may notify us under Turkish Laws No. 5651 and No. 5846 at support@takvim.in with: (a) the right you say is infringed and information showing you are its owner, (b) the exact URL of the content, (c) the grounds of your claim, (d) your name, address and contact details, and (e) a statement that the notice is accurate and that you are the rights holder or its authorised representative. On a valid notice we review the content within a reasonable time, remove it or block access if we find it unlawful, and inform the user who published it. A person who files an unfounded notice may be liable for resulting damage. We act in line with court and competent authority decisions and close accounts of repeat infringers.
You can also report incorrect or inappropriate content directly with the “Report” feature on event pages.
12. Third-party services and links
The Service uses third-party services such as maps (Google), hosting (Vercel), infrastructure (Supabase) and email, and links to organiser and ticketing sites. We are not responsible for the content, outages, privacy practices or terms of those services and sites. Your use of them is subject to their own terms (for example the Google Maps Platform Terms).
13. Fees
The current features of the Service are free. If we introduce paid features, we will state the price, payment and refund conditions separately and clearly before purchase, and honour your withdrawal and information rights under consumer law.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we give no express or implied warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure or fit for a particular purpose, or that content will be accurate and current. The Service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, updates or force majeure.
15. Limitation of liability
Subject to mandatory law and to the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or reputation, arising from the use of or inability to use the Service, from user content, from organisers’ conduct, from cancellation, postponement or change of events, or from third-party services. For direct damages, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim or — for free users — USD 100. These limits do not apply to intent, gross negligence, harm to life or bodily integrity, or any liability that cannot be limited under mandatory provisions such as Article 115 of the Turkish Code of Obligations and consumer law. Your statutory rights as a consumer are reserved.
You attend events at your own responsibility. We are not a party to your relationship with organisers or to any damage that may arise from it.
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless us, our affiliates and employees from third-party claims, and from our losses including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your User Content, your breach of these Terms or the law, or your infringement of third-party rights. For users acting as consumers this clause applies only to the extent mandatory consumer provisions allow.
17. Suspension and termination
You may stop using your account at any time and ask us to close it at support@takvim.in. If you breach these Terms, if we detect unlawful use, if we need to protect security, or if the law requires, we may suspend or terminate your account and content with notice, or without notice for urgent or serious breaches. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) remain in force.
18. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The Istanbul Courts and Enforcement Offices have jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms. If you act as a consumer, your right under Law No. 6502 to apply to the Consumer Arbitration Committees and Consumer Courts at your place of residence or where the transaction was made is reserved, and this clause does not limit it. In a dispute we ask you to first seek an amicable solution at support@takvim.in.
19. General
- Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between the parties about the Service.
- Severability: If a provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the others remain in force.
- Waiver: Not exercising a right does not mean we waive it.
- Assignment: We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets; you may not assign yours without our written consent.
- Force majeure: We are not liable for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control (natural disaster, war, epidemic, network or third-party infrastructure outage, a competent authority’s decision and similar).
- Notices: We may notify you at the email address on your account or within the Service.
- Language: These Terms are published in Turkish and English; if they conflict, the Turkish text prevails.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will announce material changes a reasonable time before they take effect, by email or within the Service. The current version is published on this page and the “Last updated” date changes. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not accept them, you must stop using the Service.
